After months of rumors, Coca-Cola finally confirmed that Hi-C Ecto Cooler is returning in time for the new ‘Ghostbusters’ movie

Who you gonna call? (Probably your local supermarket retailer to see when Ecto Cooler will be in stock!)

Attention ‘90s kids! After months of swirling rumors, Coca-Cola has officially announced the return of the neon-green Ghostbusters-themed juice drink: Hi-C Ecto Cooler. Slimer would definitely approve. The limited-edition drink will hit shelves on May 30, just in time for the summer release of the all-female Ghostbusters movie reboot on July 15.

“Hi-C Ecto Cooler fueled a pop culture phenomenon that is well remembered and beloved by fans to this day,” said Charles Torrey, Vice President, Minute Maid/Hi-C Brands, Coca-Cola North America. “Sony Pictures was extremely enthusiastic about bringing it back for this special occasion, and the timing of the upcoming Ghostbusters film made this the exact right time.”

Hi-C Ecto Cooler was released in tandem with the first Ghostbusters movie back in 1987, and after a few different rebrands, disappeared altogether in 2001, much to the dismay of fans.

Now the lemon-lime drink is back in 10-packs of six-ounce juice boxes and in six- and 12-packs of 11.5-ounce aluminum cans. The cans are decorated with thermal ink that turns an eerie shade of green once the drink is cold.

26 Discontinued Foods That We Need To Bring BACK!!

Like a hulk of a St. Bernard that thinks it’s a tiny shih tzu, awesome things sometimes plop into our laps—a beautiful sunset, a stumbled upon TV show, a video of a guinea pig-sized goat frolicking with a friend.

Sometimes, these things are taken from us too soon—the night snuffing the beautiful pinks of dusk, early cancellation of a favorite television series, someone committing the ultimate crime against cute by pulling a mini-goat video from the interwebs.

Once these things are gone, they’re usually gone for good. But sometimes they get a second chance.

Case in point— French Toast Crunch!

The passionate fans of the once defunct breakfast cereal recently got the ultimate treat at the bottom of the box when General Mills re-released the sugary delight.

Yet, this doesn’t seem fair. Why do only those who bow at the altar of French Toast Crunchism get to have all the fun? There are tons of other extinct nibbles and sip-friendly sodas of yesteryear we wish would be re-released. So, here is our list of 24 snacks and drinks we hope return to stores.
